Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs lean ground beef
  • 6 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 2 teaspoons steak seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 ounces sliced white button mushrooms
  • 3 cups sliced bell peppers (green, red, or yellow)
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 8 ounces sliced or shredded Provolone cheese
  • Sliced rolls for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and spray a 15x10x2 inch sheet pan with cooking spray or line with foil.
  • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until browned. Drain any excess fat. Add the cream cheese, steak seasoning, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook over medium heat until the cream cheese is melted and fully combined with the beef. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Spread this beef mixture evenly onto the prepared sheet pan.
  • Wipe out the skillet and heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced mushrooms, bell peppers, and diced onion. Cook until the vegetables are softened, adding more olive oil if needed. Spread the cooked vegetables evenly on top of the beef mixture on the sheet pan.
  • Top the vegetable mixture with the sliced or shredded Provolone cheese. Bake in the preheated oven for about 5 minutes, or until the cheese is beautifully melted and bubbly.
  • Serve immediately on sliced rolls. For an extra touch, butter and toast the rolls (with an optional sprinkle of garlic salt) and add mayonnaise if desired.
